A new integral equation for Brownian stopping problems with finite time horizon

چکیده
For classical finite time horizon stopping problems driven by a Brownian motion V(t,x)=supt≤τ≤0E(t,x)[g(τ,Wτ)],we derive new class of Fredholm type integral equations for the set. large discounted problems, we show analytical arguments that equation uniquely characterizes boundary problem. Regardless uniqueness, use representation to rigorously find limit behavior close terminal time. Interestingly, it turns out leading-order coefficient is universal wide classes problems. We also discuss how can be used numerical purposes.

Finite horizon exploration for path integral control problems
We have recently developed a path integral method for solving a class of non-linear stochastic control problems in the continuous domain [1, 2]. Path integral (PI) control can be applied for timedependent finite-horizon tasks (motor control, coordination between agents) and static tasks (which behave similar to discounted reward reinforcement learning). In this control formalism, the cost-togo ...
متن کاملA New Implicit Finite Difference Method for Solving Time Fractional Diffusion Equation
In this paper, a time fractional diffusion equation on a finite domain is con- sidered. The time fractional diffusion equation is obtained from the standard diffusion equation by replacing the first order time derivative by a fractional derivative of order 0 < a< 1 (in the Riemann-Liovill or Caputo sence). In equation that we consider the time fractional derivative is in...
متن کاملOptimal Stopping Inequalities for the Integral of Brownian Paths
for all stopping times for B , and all p > 0 , where Ap and Bp are numerical constants. Although the best values for the constants Ap and Bp in (1.1) are found below too, in most of the cases it is much easier to evaluate E( ) rather than E( 1+p=2) . In this paper we shall answer the question on how the inequality (1.1) can be optimally modified if the quantity E( 1+p=2) is replaced by a functi...
متن کاملTwo-warehouse system for non-instantaneous deterioration products with promotional effort and inflation over a finite time horizon
In the current global market, organizations use many promotional tools to increase their sales. One such tool is sales teams’ initiatives or promotional policies, i.e., free gifts, discounts, packaging, etc. This phenomenon motivates the retailer/or buyer to order a large inventory lot so as to take full benefit of promotional policies. In view of this the present paper considers a two-warehous...
متن کاملTime-domain Electric-field Integral Equation with Central Finite Difference
In this paper, we present a new formulation using the ( ) time-domain electric-field integral equation TD EFIE to obtain a transient scattering response from arbitrarily shaped conducting bodies. The time deri ati e of the magnetic ector potential is approximated with a central finite difference, and the scalar potential is time a eraged by di iding it into two terms. This approach with an impl...
